Taipei reports incidents of public disorder and security confrontations

Multiple incidents of disorderly conduct involving intoxicated or non-compliant individuals have been reported in Taipei.

At Yuanshan Expo Park, a 46-year-old man engaged in a dispute with a passerby before attacking security personnel. After being restrained, the man was found lying on the ground unresponsive to police due to intoxication and physical discomfort. He was subsequently transported to a hospital by paramedics.

Separately, at the Taipei Metro's Da'an Station, a confrontation occurred when security staff attempted to stop a man from drinking on the platform. A female companion of the man reportedly shouted at the staff and made offensive gestures toward the security officer after boarding a train. Taipei Metro has confirmed it is pursuing legal action against the individuals to protect the dignity of its frontline workers and will issue fines for the violation of transit regulations.
