Taipei Veterans Service Office appoints Chen Shun-ru as new director

The Taipei Veterans Service Office held a handover ceremony on January 13, marking the transition of leadership from outgoing director Huang Hsin-jen to the new director, Chen Shun-ru. Huang has been promoted to director of the Education and Employment Department of the Veterans Affairs Council.

Chen Shun-ru, a former Major General and former director of Wuling Farm, brings extensive administrative and military leadership experience to the role. The ceremony was presided over by Fu Cheng-cheng, Deputy Chairman of the Veterans Affairs Council.

The Council is currently prioritizing two major policy initiatives: the ‘Safe Elderly Care Platform,’ which utilizes AI technology to upgrade home visit services and integrate medical and long-term care resources, and a ‘Military-Civilian Expertise Transition’ platform designed to help veterans bridge their professional skills into the civilian workforce.
