Taishin and E.SUN Bank update 2026 credit card reward schemes

Major Taiwanese banks Taishin Bank and E.SUN Bank have updated their credit card reward structures for 2026, focusing on customizable spending categories.

Taishin Bank’s Richart Card offers seven different reward modes that users can switch daily via the Richart Life App. Depending on the selected mode, users can earn up to 3.8% in rewards across various sectors, including mobile payments, convenience stores, dining, online shopping, and overseas travel. Rewards are issued as Taishin Points, which can be used to offset credit card bills or redeemed for various brand points.

E.SUN Bank’s Unicard provides a tiered reward system through its E.SUN Wallet. Users can choose between three primary schemes: ‘Simple Select’ (up to 3% rewards), ‘Any Select’ (up to 3.5% rewards by choosing up to eight specific merchants), and ‘UP Select’ (up to 4.5% rewards for high-volume designated spending). General consumption earns up to 1% in E.SUN e points, which can be used for bill offsets or product redemptions.
