Taishu Niihara joins cast of film ‘Onee-chan no Sui-kun’

Actor Taishu Niihara has been announced as a supporting cast member in the upcoming film ‘Onee-chan no Sui-kun’, scheduled for release on December 4. The film is a live-action adaptation of the popular manga by Amu Meguro, which has surpassed 1.6 million copies in circulation.

Niihara will portray Amamiya, a rookie assistant producer at a television station. His character is a junior colleague to Momo (played by Runa Kumada), the sister of the film's protagonist, Sui (played by Rena Nakajima). Niihara’s role is expected to add a new dimension to the romantic plot through his character's attentive and caring nature toward his senior.

The film stars Masaki Hashimoto of timelesz in his first leading role. The story follows a high school girl who develops feelings for her sister's boyfriend, exploring the bittersweet nature of first love.
