Taito announces Bubble Bobble 40th anniversary event in Akihabara

Taito has announced a special event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Bubble Bobble video game series. The event is scheduled for September 20 at EXBAR TOKYO plus Akihabara, adjacent to the Taito Station Akihabara East-West Free Passage store.

Attendees will have the opportunity to play several titles, including the recently released Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeon Boost, the previous installment Bubble Bobble 4 Friends, and the upcoming Rainbow Parasol Collection. The celebration includes character greetings featuring Bub and Bob, along with a mystery character making a first appearance at the venue.

Special merchandise and food items will also be available, such as themed collaboration drinks containing tapioca, limited edition pin badge sets, and character-themed plushies. Additionally, themed crepes are being sold at the nearby Pico Crepe Akihabara location.
