Taitung police conduct fraud and traffic safety outreach for youth

Officers from the Fengli Police Station of the Taitung County Police Department recently conducted a safety awareness session at Fenggu Church to educate local youth on fraud prevention and traffic safety.

The anti-fraud component focused on common digital threats encountered by teenagers, including high-paying job scams, game point fraud, online dating scams, and impersonation of relatives. Officers advised students to avoid clicking suspicious links or providing personal information and passwords to strangers.

Regarding traffic safety, the session emphasized the importance of following rules while riding scooters, bicycles, or walking. Officers urged students to remain vigilant at intersections and avoid distractions, such as mobile phone use, while commuting.
