Taiwan and Hong Kong police dismantle drug manufacturing sites

In Taichung, Taiwan, police raided a campsite in the Taiping district used by Vietnamese migrant workers as a drug‑production hub. The group manufactured and packaged meth‑type coffee packets, methamphetamine, ketamine and other substances. Four suspects, including a married couple, were arrested and a large cache of drugs and packaging equipment was seized.

In Kwun Tong, Hong Kong, officers broke up a factory‑building operation that produced cannabis‑infused chocolate and gummy candy. Over 30 kg of marijuana oil, chocolate, and gummies – valued at more than HK$90,000 – were confiscated, and two local men were detained on charges of manufacturing and trafficking dangerous drugs. The raids were aimed at curbing a rising supply of cannabis products to youths.
