Taiwan Builder Taihe Mao Defies Housing Slump, Wins International Design Awards

Taiwanese construction firm Taihe Mao, based in Changhua, has continued to invest in high‑end residential projects despite a nationwide slowdown in the housing market. The company partnered with a Taichung “7th district” luxury‑housing design team to bring premium architectural standards to the region, emphasizing sustainability, seismic safety and scientific quality control.

The strategy has earned the firm multiple international accolades, including Rome and London architecture design gold awards for the Huatan “Xincheng” project and a Tokyo Design Award for the Yuanlin “Xinjū” development. Taihe Mao’s approach combines natural‑environment integration with rigorous data‑driven construction processes, such as geological improvement, independent structural reviews and pursuit of earthquake‑resistance certification.

Looking ahead, the developer plans a new 14‑storey residential tower near the Tianzhong railway station, targeting the emerging high‑traffic Tianzhong‑High‑Speed‑Rail hub. The project aims to further showcase the company’s blend of scientific precision and aesthetic design in Changhua’s evolving urban landscape.
