Taiwan Card Shop Owner Flees with Hundreds of Millions in Alleged Fraud

The owner of the Little Sheep Card Club, a well‑known trading‑card shop in Taipei’s Wanhua district, disappeared after allegedly embezzling more than NT$200 million (approximately US$6 million). Victims—including at least 3,000 customers and members of a 4,000‑person LINE group—report that the shop abruptly shut down, its social‑media accounts were deleted, and prepaid orders and consignment payments were left unpaid.

Authorities from the Taipei City Government’s Legal Affairs Bureau and consumer‑protection officials have been notified and are investigating possible fraud. Police are urging affected customers to file reports, and the bureau has begun a formal inquiry into the incident.
