Taiwan Cultural Creative Expo 2026: Cultural currency accepted at participating stalls

The 2026 Taiwan Cultural Creative Expo runs from 6 to 12 August at the Nangang Exhibition Center (Hall 1) in Taipei. The event features more than 870 brands and over 1,200 stalls, with participants from Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, Thailand, South Korea and other countries.

Visitors aged 13‑22 can claim 1,200 points of the government‑issued Cultural Currency (文化幣). The currency may be used at stalls that have applied to become approved cultural‑payment points; acceptance is not universal, so shoppers should look for the Cultural Currency sign or ask staff before paying. Payments are made via the Cultural Currency app by scanning a QR code, with 1 point equal to NT$1 and no minimum spend.

The National Palace Museum’s booth highlights the popular “Dragon Sutra” exhibition, launching eight new merchandise items such as bottle openers and canvas bags, and offering a 7 % discount on a limited‑edition Qing‑Kangxi era manuscript set priced at NT$1,316,000. Additional collaborations include collectible‑style boxes for the museum’s jade cabbage, meat‑shaped stone and Mao Gong Ding, as well as cross‑brand products and exclusive stickers. Pre‑orders and special promotions are available throughout the expo.
