Taiwan Design Expo 2026 opens in Taoyuan with ‘Taoyuan Flow’ theme

The 2026 Taiwan Design Expo, themed ‘Taoyuan Flow,’ is currently being held in Taoyuan from September 24 to October 11. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Taoyuan City Government, the event features over 770 designers and 1,630 enterprises, marking a record number of international works from 16 countries.

The exhibition is divided into two main zones: Qingpu and Zhongli. The Qingpu zone focuses on industrial strength and urban design innovation, covering themes such as smart city governance, sustainable circulation, and high-tech industry transitions. Notable installations include the ‘24HR Global Operation’ exhibition, which uses an airport concept to connect local manufacturing to global technology and green energy.

The Zhongli zone emphasizes multiculturalism and youth creativity, centered around the Zhongli Cultural and Creative Park. It showcases the diverse cultural backgrounds of the region, including Hakka, Indigenous, and new immigrant influences, alongside design works from local students. Additional satellite exhibition areas are located at various local museums and cultural centers throughout the city.
