Taiwan expands talent recruitment with Silicon Valley office and local job fair
Taiwan is expanding its efforts to attract and manage professional talent through both domestic initiatives and international outreach. In Silicon Valley, the TALENT TAIWAN platform has opened its first overseas office in Palo Alto. This office aims to serve as a bridge between Silicon Valley's tech and venture capital community and Taiwan's industrial resources, specifically targeting experts in AI and semiconductors. The platform provides consultation on visas, the Employment Gold Card, and living in Taiwan to facilitate the movement of global talent into the country.
Domestically, the Changhua County Government is hosting a large-scale job fair on October 3 at the National Heme Experimental School. The event features 37 companies, including Fubon Media Technology and FamilyMart, offering over a thousand job openings. The fair includes specialized zones for different demographics, such as a '55+ Workplace Zone' for middle-aged and elderly job seekers, and a 'CEDAW Zone' to promote gender equality and women's employment resources.
