Taiwan financial holdings earn 631.9 billion TWD in first three quarters
Thirteen listed financial holding companies in Taiwan reported a cumulative net profit of approximately 631.9 billion TWD for the first three quarters. While overall performance remains strong, September saw a decline in monthly net profits, dropping about 38% compared to August due to decreased trading volume in the Taiwan stock market and fluctuations in financial asset valuations driven by rising US Treasury yields.
Fubon Financial achieved record-high cumulative profits and earnings per share (EPS) for this period, with cumulative profits reaching 127.2 billion TWD. Cathay Financial also surpassed the 100 billion TWD profit threshold. CTBC Financial led the monthly September profits with 9.358 billion TWD.
Other notable performers include Taishin Shin Kong Financial, which recorded cumulative profits of 64.17 billion TWD, and KGI Financial, which has already exceeded its total profit for the previous full year. Among state-owned financial holdings, Mega Financial led with cumulative profits of 32.848 billion TWD.
