Taiwan Financial Institutions Awarded for Dementia-Friendly and Fraud-Prevention Services

The Taiwan Service Industry Exchange Association (TSIDA) has released the results of its fourth annual Financial Friendly Service Survey. This year’s study focused specifically on dementia-friendly services and financial fraud prevention, utilizing mystery shoppers to simulate interactions with customers experiencing dementia or those suspected of being victims of scams.

Twelve financial institutions received recognition as ‘2026 Financial Friendly Best Service Enterprises,’ including Taipei Fubon Bank, Cathay United Bank, Yuanta Bank, Hua Nan Bank, Mega Bank, Taiwan Business Bank, Nanshan Life, Cathay Life, Shin An Tokyo Marine & Sun Life, and SinoPac Securities. CTBC Bank was named the ‘2026 Financial Friendly Most Trusted Bank’ based on public opinion polls regarding fraud prevention, while E.SUN Bank received the ‘2026 Financial Friendly Best Innovation Award’ for its ‘Financial Prescription’ service.

The survey evaluated staff responsiveness, communication styles, and the ability to identify high-risk transactions. Notable practices included the use of VR training by Taipei Fubon Bank to help staff recognize dementia symptoms and the implementation of real-time account monitoring systems to alert customers of suspicious activity.
