Taiwan government orders removal of Chinese-linked platforms amid security concerns
Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council announced that the "Taiwan Youth e-Home" platform, operated by the PRC's Taiwan Affairs Office, violates the Cross-Strait Relations Act and is being used for propaganda and potential personal data misuse. The council said it will coordinate with relevant ministries to block or take down the website.
In Taichung, the city’s Housing Development Office apologized after an AI‑generated flyer displayed a symbol resembling the Chinese national emblem. The flyer, intended to promote consumer‑protection information, was removed and the office pledged a full review of all similar materials and tighter oversight of AI‑created content.
