Taiwan hosts industry exhibitions and regional community developments

In Taipei, the TaipeiPLAS 2026 exhibition concluded, showcasing innovations in circular materials, AI-driven manufacturing, and high-value applications in the plastics and rubber industries. Simultaneously, the 50th Asia-Pacific Executive Committee and 25th Asia-Pacific Urban Rail Platform meetings hosted by Taipei Metro and UITP concluded, focusing on smart technology and sustainable urban transport.

In New Taipei City, police mounted officers and local boat operators successfully rescued an 83-year-old man from the Bitan scenic area after he entered the water. In Chiayi County, the Ruitae Social Welfare Foundation organized a community walk in Minxiong to promote dementia-friendly environments and social interaction for the elderly.
