Taiwan hosts major creative and pop culture expos in Taipei

Major creative and pop culture events recently took place in Taiwan. The 2026 Taiwan Creative Expo was held in Taipei throughout August 2026. Under the theme ‘Bit Zero,’ the event explored the essence of human creativity in the age of artificial intelligence. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the expo featured two main pillars: a cultural curation exhibition held at the former Air Force General Headquarters site, and a creative brand and IP licensing exhibition at the Nangang Exhibition Center, which hosted over 600 brands from Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore.

Additionally, the 25th Manhua Expo was held at the Taipei World Trade Center from July 23 to 27, 2026. This large-scale event, held in conjunction with gaming and film/toy exhibitions, attracted approximately 635,000 visitors over five days. The expo featured over 1,200 booths and significant activity from game companies, including various cosplay performances and character-themed stage events.
