Taiwan hosts seminars on green technology, robotics, and hydrogen energy

Taiwan is hosting major industry seminars focused on achieving net-zero emissions through green technology, smart robotics, and hydrogen energy development.

A seminar organized by the Tainan City Government and the Industrial Technology Research Institute addressed the intersection of AI and low-carbon manufacturing. Experts discussed sustainable carbon management, digital twin technology for virtual testing to reduce material waste, and the use of smart robotics to optimize energy consumption in production processes.

Simultaneously, the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology hosted the 2026 National Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Academic Seminar. The event brought together industry and academic leaders to discuss hydrogen production, storage, and applications such as hydrogen-powered ships and fuel cell trucks. Discussions highlighted the importance of hydrogen as a strategic component for Taiwan’s 2050 net-zero goals, focusing on technical challenges like electrolyzer durability and the integration of AI with fuel cell systems.
