Taiwan hosts summer music festivals in Taipei and Keelung

Taiwan is hosting several large-scale music and cultural festivals throughout August and September 2026.

In Taipei, the ‘2026 Taipei Very Live!’ event, part of the ‘Trendy Taipei’ series, features 78 performances across 27 music venues from August 1 to September 6. The program spans diverse genres including jazz, rock, electronic, and folk. Highlights include jazz performances by award-winning musicians like Hsieh Ming-yen and Huang Jui-feng, international acts such as Japan’s Wisteria and Canada’s The Neverminds, and various local live house sessions.

In Keelung, the ‘Chaojing Bay Festival’ will hold its ‘Chao Music X Mountain and Sea Market’ event on August 15 at the Argo Badouzi Yacht Pier. The festival includes a market with 55 stalls of local food and creative goods, alongside musical performances by artists such as Song Nian-yu (Xiao Yu) and Chen Hua. The event also features collaborations with the popular IP ‘Capybara’ (Kapo) and various brand sponsorships.
