Taiwan launches nationwide consumption promotion and e-commerce sales events

Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs has launched the ‘Travel, Eat, and Shop’ consumption promotion starting in September. The initiative aims to boost domestic demand by partnering with six major digital payment platforms—including LINE Pay, StreetPay, and EasyCard—to offer rewards and lucky draws across more than 400,000 merchants nationwide.

Simultaneously, major e-commerce platforms are initiating large-scale sales events. Shopee is hosting its ‘9.9 Super Shopping Festival’ featuring free shipping and credit card rebates of up to 25%. PChome 24h Shopping is running its ‘99 Shopping Festival’ through September 14, offering various discount vouchers and P-Point rewards.

Other financial and shopping services are also participating in the seasonal surge. ShopBack is offering cash rewards for specific spending thresholds, and Mega Bank has announced promotions for online shopping at platforms such as momo, Shopee, PChome, and Coupang, with maximum rebates reaching 2,200 TWD.
