Taiwan launches Pokémon 30th anniversary celebrations with GO Fest and citywide events

To mark the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, The Pokémon Company is staging a series of events across Taiwan from July through November 2026. The kickoff is the Pokémon GO Fest 2026 Global held on 11‑12 July at the Zhongshan MRT Station’s “Heart‑Zhongshan Linear Park,” where players can take part in exclusive raids against Mewtwo X/Y, explore themed installations, and receive limited‑edition memorabilia.

In October, the flagship PokéXciting! party will take over Taipei’s Xinyi district (10‑11 Oct), featuring a large stage, interactive experiences, and a city‑exclusive pink Pikachu. Simultaneously, the Pokémon RUN 30 road‑run series will travel to Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung and New Taipei between 17 Oct and 15 Nov, offering participants themed challenges, souvenir gear and a free “Pokémon Carnival” zone with pop‑up shops, card‑play areas and character meet‑and‑greets. All events are free to the public and aim to engage both seasoned trainers and families.
