Taiwan launches two AI‑focused active ETFs as market competition intensifies

Fuhua Investment Trust announced the launch of the Fuhua Global Future 50 Active ETF (ticker 00409A), with fundraising set to begin on 12 August. The fund uses a multi‑manager structure: core manager Hu Jia‑ling, who has 17 years of research experience and a 466.47 % three‑year return on the Fuhua Chinese Century Fund, is supported by co‑managers Wang Wan‑li and Huang Jun‑rui, both seasoned in technology‑focused funds. The ETF will hold about 50 stocks, concentrating on large‑cap companies that stand to benefit from AI, such as TSMC, Micron and SK Hynix, while also targeting non‑AI large caps that gain from AI‑driven growth.

Unified Investment Trust introduced the Unified Frontier Technology Active ETF (ticker 00411A), with a subscription period from 5 to 7 August. Managed by Guo Zhi‑wei, the fund plans a 70 % allocation to U.S. equities and the remaining 30 % to Asian supply‑chain exposure. Its thematic split prioritises AI infrastructure (35 %), energy infrastructure (25 %), and emerging sectors such as space economy (13 %), AI software applications (10 %), autonomous driving (6.5 %), quantum computing (6 %) and humanoid robotics (4.5 %). Senior executives emphasize that current market volatility offers a strategic entry point for long‑term AI‑related investments.
