Taiwan man discovers son is not biological child after nine years

A man in Taiwan has discovered that the son he raised for nearly nine years is not his biological child. The couple, who married on November 11, 2015, officially divorced on July 4, 2024.

Following the divorce, the man recalled comments from friends and family regarding the child's lack of physical resemblance to him. To resolve his doubts, he conducted a DNA test at a major hospital in Kaohsiung. The medical report confirmed he is not the biological father, noting that the DNA did not match at seven key genetic markers.

The man has since filed a lawsuit at the Pingdong District Court to legally establish that he is not the child's father. During the legal proceedings, the ex-wife did not contest the DNA results and admitted the child is not his, though she did not disclose the identity of the biological father.
