Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs approves six major investment projects

Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs has approved six major investment projects. Key inward investments include Lam Research Corporation increasing capital in Taiwan Collins Technology Co., Ltd. by approximately NT$9.8 billion to support advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment R&D and design. Additionally, Zhen Ding Technology Holding Limited will invest approximately NT$3 billion in Sian Communications Co., Ltd. for multi-layer PCB manufacturing.

Outward investments include Yuan Chuan International Co., Ltd. investing $60 million USD to establish YMA (TX) in the United States for solid-state battery and drone component production. Nuvoton Technology Corporation Japan will receive a JPY 15 billion capital increase from Nuvoton Technology Corporation to support IC design and manufacturing services. Other approved overseas projects involve investments in Mitsubishi Fuso Bus Manufacturing in Japan and the acquisition of Midas Health Company Limited to expand medical device and smart healthcare markets.
