Taiwan Oil expands gender‑friendly workplace with new employee child‑care centers
Taiwan Oil (CPC Corporation, Taiwan) emphasises gender equality by creating a gender‑friendly workplace and supporting parental leave. In 2023, 1,069 employees qualified for parental‑leave benefits and 176 were on leave, including 75 men (42.62%) and 101 women (57.38%). The company operates employee child‑care centres for children aged 0‑2, opening a new centre in the Taipei headquarters and maintaining non‑profit nurseries in Miaoli, Kaohsiung and Chiayi. The Taipei centre provides activity rooms, a nursing room, fresh meals, and high‑tech features such as access‑control attendance, an electronic parent‑teacher communication app, patented safety doors, and infant beds equipped with breathing‑detection mats. Management of the centre is handled by the New Taipei City Infant Care Association, ensuring security and a nurturing environment for staff families while aligning with the government’s 0‑2‑year community child‑care plan.
