Taiwan Police Help Elderly Citizens Return Home Safely

Police in Taiwan responded to two separate incidents involving senior residents who were found alone in public areas. In one case, a high‑age woman was wandering near a light‑rail station and planned to wait overnight for a tour group. After a citizen called for help, officers located her, contacted her family and escorted her safely home. In the other incident, an elderly man rested on the roadside during a heatwave. Police arrived after a report from a passerby, provided shade, checked his condition for dehydration or heat‑related illness and drove him back to his residence.

Both events highlight community‑police cooperation and the emphasis on protecting vulnerable seniors during extreme weather conditions.
