Taiwan President Lai announces 4% salary hike for military and civil servants
President Lai Ching-te announced that military, civil service, and education personnel in Taiwan will receive a 4% salary increase starting in January next year. Regarding upcoming local elections, Lai Ching-te urged Democratic Progressive Party candidates to engage directly with the public. He emphasized that candidates should use every opportunity, such as visiting markets or holding forums, to articulate their governing visions and demonstrate their commitment to local governance.
