Taiwan Public Welfare Alliance brings visually impaired musicians to prisons
The Taiwan Public Welfare Alliance is utilizing the ‘Ri Xin Le Yi’ platform to empower visually impaired musicians by transitioning them from recipients of aid to active community contributors. Through professional training and performance opportunities, these musicians are bringing music to various correctional facilities across Taiwan.
Performances have been held at the Taipei Women's Detention Center, Yilan Prison, and Kaohsiung Women's Prison. These events aim to foster emotional connection and positive reflection among inmates. In Yilan, the performance of classic songs led to emotional responses from inmates, while the Kaohsiung event saw high levels of engagement and singing from the audience.
The alliance plans to continue these prison outreach programs in the coming year, focusing on professional skill development, stage practice, and brand deepening to expand the social impact of these musicians.
