Taiwan Railway to suspend 65 trains on November 9
Taiwan Railway Administration will suspend 65 train services on November 9 to accommodate the 115th Transportation Career Railway Personnel Promotion Examination. The examination, scheduled from November 7 to November 9, involves 328 drivers, which will impact available crew personnel.
The service disruptions include the suspension of 12 scheduled trains and 53 non-scheduled trains (including local and express trains) on both the West Coast and East Coast lines. Additionally, 18 trains will have adjusted operating sections. On the Jiji Line, the company will provide road shuttle services to mitigate the impact on passengers.
To minimize service disruption, the company has implemented measures such as adjusting reserve manpower, rescheduling leave, and utilizing cross-departmental support. Information regarding these changes will be available via the official website, the Taiwan Railway e-ticket app, and at various stations.
