Taiwan regional updates: drug prevention, health warnings, and agricultural training

Various regional developments are reported across Taiwan. In education and public safety, the Ministry of Education has identified Etomidate as a key focus for its ‘Friendly Campus Week’ to combat emerging drug threats among youth. The ministry plans to implement saliva testing for approximately 8,000 high-risk students once legal frameworks are updated.

In public health, the Taoyuan City Government has issued warnings regarding the rising risk of enterovirus transmission following the start of the school semester. Health officials are urging parents and childcare institutions to maintain strict hygiene protocols, such as proper handwashing and environmental disinfection, to mitigate outbreaks.

In agriculture, National Chiayi University held a practical training course for organic agricultural operators. The program focused on organic product processing techniques and digital management tools to help farmers increase the added value of their crops and reduce supply-demand imbalances.

Additionally, Lihpao Resort has launched promotional offers for military, police, fire, and teaching professionals to commemorate upcoming holidays, including Military Day and Teacher's Day.
