The following morning in Shalu District, Taichung, a fire broke out at a water‑and‑electric materials store on Wenchang Street. Firefighters arrived within minutes, extinguished the blaze, and rescued a 72‑year‑old woman trapped on the third floor. She and a 35‑year‑old man were taken to Tong General Hospital for observation.
