Taiwan summer festivals feature water sports and cultural events
Various summer festivals and cultural events are taking place across Taiwan. In Tainan, the city government is hosting the ‘2026 Hulupi Play a Bit’ event at Hulupi Natural Park on July 25, 26 and August 1, 2. The activities feature water sports such as canoeing, SUP, and windsurfing, alongside large inflatable water facilities and local market stalls.
In Taoyuan, the ‘2026 Taoyuan Cold Drink Festival Bubble Drink Joy’ featured over 133 brands. Due to heavy rainfall affecting vendors, the Taoyuan Economic Development Bureau announced it would waive stall fees to mitigate the impact on businesses.
Additionally, the ‘2026 Taoyuan Sea Hakka Season’ included the Mibao Run, which attracted more than 3,000 participants. The event combined Hakka maritime culture with family-friendly activities like bubble obstacle courses and water gun battles to promote local heritage.
