Taiwan Tourism Administration launches NT$3.33 billion travel subsidy programs

Taiwan's Tourism Administration has launched a series of travel subsidy programs under the ‘Tourism Dual-Wheel Drive Plan,’ supported by a budget of approximately NT$3.33 billion. The initiatives aim to stimulate both domestic and international tourism.

For domestic travelers, subsidies include weekday accommodation discounts of up to NT$800 for the first night and NT$1,200 for the second night in general areas, with higher rates available for outlying islands. A ‘Birthday Voucher’ program offers 1,000 monthly winners a NT$1,200 accommodation subsidy. Other domestic incentives include amusement park stay discounts, corporate employee travel grants, and Taiwan PASS options.

International marketing efforts include incentives for returning travelers, such as consumption credits of up to NT$5,000 for independent travelers or group grants ranging from NT$10,000 to NT$30,000. Additional measures target incentive travel for foreign corporations and travelers attending international conferences or exhibitions, providing free tours and Taiwan PASS high-speed rail options.
