Several localized incidents in Taiwan have drawn public attention regarding road safety and social etiquette. In Miaoli County, an 83-year-old man driving a Volvo suddenly accelerated while parked on Shuimei Street in Sanyi Township. The vehicle struck three parked cars, one of which was pushed into an art shop, shattering its glass door. No injuries were reported, and the driver showed no signs of intoxication.

In New Taipei City, a heavy vehicle carrying glass cargo struck and destroyed a height restriction pole in Xinzhuang District. Police reported that the load exceeded height limits, and the driver faced potential fines under the Road Traffic Management and Punishment Act. Traffic was temporarily controlled while engineering crews cleared the obstruction.

Separately, a social media controversy emerged regarding a department store in New Taipei City. A netizen reported that staff were stationed at parking payment machines to prevent customers from leaving unused parking vouchers for others to use, instead instructing them to discard the slips into collection bins. The move has sparked debate online regarding the disruption of community kindness versus management policies.
