Taiwan woman tests positive for HIV after online dating encounter

A 29-year-old woman, identified as Ms. Zhao from Taiwan, has discovered she is HIV positive following a brief encounter with a man she met through a dating application.

After years of focusing on her career, Zhao sought companionship via online dating. She met a man who presented a professional and sophisticated profile, which led her to trust him. During their physical encounter, the man requested not to use a condom, a request Zhao granted under the impression that the relationship was serious.

Following the encounter, the man immediately severed all contact and blocked her on all communication platforms. Zhao remained asymptomatic until a routine health checkup revealed her HIV status.
