Taiwan Women's Re-employment Program assists over 7,700 workers
The Ministry of Labor's Workforce Development Agency has reported significant success with its Women's Re-employment Program. As of August this year, the program has successfully helped over 7,700 women secure employment, an increase of more than 2,000 compared to the same period last year.
Recent revisions to the program have expanded eligibility to include any woman who has been out of the workforce for at least 180 days, regardless of the reason for leaving. To encourage participation, the program offers monthly subsidies for employees: 10,000 TWD for full-time workers and 5,000 TWD for part-time workers, for a maximum of six months.
Additionally, the program provides incentives for employers. Companies that implement workplace support measures can apply for a monthly subsidy of 5,000 TWD per woman for up to 12 months. The agency provides personalized services, including career counseling, job matching, and interview coaching, to facilitate smoother transitions back into the professional environment.
