Taiwanese and Asia-Pacific artists conduct international cultural tours
Cultural exchange initiatives are bringing Taiwanese and Asia-Pacific performing arts to international audiences. In Yilan, Taiwan, the Contemporary Music Workshop and the Formosa International Art Association are hosting a series of performances from September 29 to October 1. The event features diverse groups, including the Sanghiyas Pangkat Mananayaw from the Philippines, WADAIKO DAIENGUMI from Japan, and the ERA BUDAYA Cultural Era Art Group from Malaysia, showcasing regional music and dance.
Simultaneously, the Ten Drum Culture Creative Park is conducting a cultural tour in the United States titled ‘Taiwan Pulse’ to celebrate the Republic of China’s National Day. The tour, organized by the Overseas Community Affairs Council, has traveled through several East Coast cities, including Boston, New York, and Washington D.C., recently performing at Kennesaw State University in Atlanta. The performances blend traditional percussion with classical and modern rock elements to showcase Taiwanese creative energy to the overseas community.
