Taiwanese athletes compete in National Games and Asian Games
Taiwanese athletes are achieving success across various regional and international competitions. In preparation for the upcoming National Games in Taoyuan, scheduled for October 16–21, the New Taipei City dance sports delegation has mobilized nearly 80 athletes. The team, which previously secured 6 gold, 10 silver, and 5 bronze medals, aims to defend its standing in the newly introduced “City Competition” category. Notable participants include 12-year-old Lin Yung-wei and defending champion Lin Yi-chun.
Separately, Taishin Shin Kong Financial Holding has announced the distribution of 2.17 million TWD in rewards to athletes and coaches following the conclusion of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Supported athletes secured multiple bronze medals, including Qian Pei-yun in women’s team golf, Shi Zheng-zhong in men’s 67kg karate, and the women’s team kata squad. The financial group stated its commitment to supporting Taiwanese talent from grassroots training to international competition stages.
