Taiwanese banks launch back-to-school and entertainment promotions
Financial institutions and payment providers in Taiwan are launching various promotions to capture the September back-to-school market and entertainment spending.
Cathay United Bank has announced it is sponsoring the Taipei leg of the YOASOBI Asia tour. CUBE credit cardholders will receive priority ticket access for the duo’s performance at the Taipei Dome, scheduled for January 9 and 10, 2027.
To assist with educational expenses, Taipei Fubon Bank is offering fee waivers for tuition payments made through designated platforms and providing installment options. EasyCard Corporation is also offering cash rewards and interest-free installments for tuition payments made via EasyPay, including partnerships with Yuanta Bank and E.SUN Bank.
In the retail sector, Uni-President Enterprises Corporation’s icash Pay and icash2.0 are collaborating with stationery and book retailers such as Jiu Cheng Jiu and Guangnan to offer OPENPOINT rewards. Combined with China Trust Bank co-branded card offers, some consumers can receive up to 11% in rewards on school supply purchases.
