Taiwanese baseball players Lin Yu-min and Li Hao-yu make professional appearances in US leagues

Taiwanese baseball players are making notable appearances in professional American leagues. In Triple-A, Reno Aces left-handed pitcher Lin Yu-min faced a difficult outing against the Seattle Mariners' Triple-A affiliate. After pitching three scoreless innings, Lin struggled in the fourth inning, allowing five earned runs following a key two-run single by Fairchild. Lin finished with 3.2 innings pitched, four strikeouts, and two walks, bringing his season ERA to 5.85.

In Major League Baseball, Detroit Tigers player Li Hao-yu returned to the starting lineup against the Cleveland Guardians. Batting fourth as a second baseman, Li became the first Taiwanese player to start in the cleanup spot since Chen Chin-feng in 2002. Li currently has 52 hits this season, placing him just two hits shy of the single-season record for a Taiwanese player in the MLB, which is 54, set by Chang Yu-cheng in 2021.
