Taiwanese children’s choirs showcase cultural talent at home and abroad

A 31‑member choir from Da Village Elementary School performed a flash concert at Taichung’s City Government MRT station, accompanied by a Fazioli F308 piano. The event was staged as a warm‑up before the group represents Taiwan at the 2026 World Choir Games in Sweden, where they will present songs in Mandarin, Taiwanese, English and Hakka.

Separately, Taiwan’s Right Guard Children’s Choir and Hope Children’s Choir gave a concert in Vilnius, Lithuania, after winning top honors at the Budapest International Choir Festival. Their programme featured pieces in Mandarin, Taiwanese, Hakka and several indigenous languages, underscoring Taiwan’s cultural diversity and strengthening ties with Lithuania through music.

Both performances illustrate how Taiwan uses children’s choirs as instruments of cultural diplomacy and national pride on the international stage.
