Taiwanese Communities Celebrate Grandparents Day in Taichung and Father’s Day in California

In Taichung, Taiwan, the City’s Family Education Center organized a Grandparents Day event on August 23 at the Taiwan Folk Museum. The "Happiness Citrus Shop" celebration featured retro‑style snacks, classic toys, a nostalgic photo zone for three‑generation families, and hands‑on activities such as dragon‑whisker candy making.

In the San Jose‑area of California, the Taiwanese Association of Santa Clara County hosted a Father’s Day program called “88 Battle” on August 2 at the Milpitas Chinese Cultural Center. Over 300 participants formed family teams to compete in talent shows, costume contests and games, with awards for best costume, spirit, and performance.
