Taiwanese community groups organize excursions for elderly residents

Various community organizations in Taiwan have organized excursions to enhance the social engagement and well-being of elderly residents.

In Beigan, 98 seniors embarked on a four-day, three-night trip to Wuyishan. The group, supported by local officials including Lienchiang County Magistrate Wang Chung-ming, aims to encourage seniors to engage with society and experience different cultural landscapes through travel and social interaction.

In Changhua, residents of the Changhua Veterans Home participated in a day trip to Hsinchu. Accompanied by staff, over 80 participants visited the Green World Ecological Farm and a persimmon cake factory to experience local Hakka culture, nature, and traditional food production.
