Taiwanese companies World Gym-KY and AMAX-KY report strong Q2 2026 earnings

Taiwanese companies World Gym Corporation (World Gym-KY) and AMAX-KY reported strong financial results for the second quarter of 2026.

World Gym-KY reported a net profit of NT$219 million, representing a 175.1% increase year-over-year. The company attributed this growth to rising membership and coaching revenue. Despite investing in ten new locations, including an expansion into Thailand, the company maintained improved gross margins. The board approved a cash dividend of NT$1.81 per share.

AMAX-KY reported a second-quarter net profit of NT$226 million, a 64.96% increase year-over-year, driven by strong demand for AI servers and water-cooling technology. The company's stock reached a one-year high following the announcement. Additionally, AMAX-KY's subsidiary, AMAX Engineering Corporation, reached a settlement with the U.S. Small Business Administration regarding a dispute over Paycheck Protection Program loans from 2021. The settlement involves a payment of approximately NT$79.6 million, which was recognized in the second-quarter results.
