Taiwanese entertainers address business failures and medical support disputes

Taiwanese entertainer Chao-ge has addressed the repeated closure of his restaurants, acknowledging his lack of business capability and expressing regret for the financial and emotional burden placed on his family. He noted that his decision to close the establishments was also influenced by health issues, including an emergency surgery for colon cancer. Chao-ge stated his original intention was to support talented friends and preserve traditional flavors rather than maximize profit, but the ventures resulted in significant losses.

In a separate entertainment dispute, Jiang Hou-ren has criticized Liao Jen-chieh and Chiang Wei-shan for ingratitude following medical assistance provided by Tong Hsin. Jiang alleged that Tong Hsin’s family provided extensive unpaid support, including housing and meals, during Chiang’s cancer treatment. Liao Jen-chieh responded by stating that while Tong Hsin’s connections helped find a doctor, she has claimed sole credit for the recovery, which he disputes. Liao maintained that many key individuals contributed to the successful treatment outcome.
