Taiwanese films selected for Busan International Film Festival

Several Taiwanese film productions have been selected for the Busan International Film Festival.

The film ‘Face Cat: Shura Road’ (花臉貓：修羅道), directed by Wang Yi-fan, has been selected for the ‘Midnight Madness’ section. The production features Japanese actor Sota Fukushi in his first Taiwanese film role, alongside lead actress Han Ning. Fukushi expressed joy in participating in a Taiwanese work that transcends linguistic and cultural barriers.

Additionally, the film ‘Happy Days’ (幸福快樂的日子), directed by Ruan Feng-yi, has been included in the ‘Asian Cinema Window’ section. The film stars Shu Hua and Chen Xuan as sisters with contrasting personalities. Shu Hua described the selection as a dream come true, marking her first major appearance at the festival as an actress. The film is expected to be released in 2027.
