Taiwanese local governments launch tourism incentives in Kinmen and Hualien

Local governments in Taiwan are launching new initiatives to promote regional tourism and support local economies through consumer incentives and specialized transport services.

In Kinmen, the County Government has partnered with EasyCard Corporation to expand its ‘Tour Kinmen’ rewards program. From October 1 to November 30, travelers can receive a 23% rebate when using EasyPay for purchases. Additionally, individuals can claim a NT$100 cash rebate voucher via the official EasyCard website or by scanning QR codes at designated local shops.

In Hualien, the County Government is subsidizing the ‘Valley Classic Tour’ to promote the development of the ‘Happiness Bus’ service in southern Hualien. Between October and November, travelers can participate in a full-day guided tour of Fuli Township for NT$1,000. The package, valued at NT$1,800, includes luxury nine-seater shuttle transport, entrance fees to various scenic spots, and a local lunch. The itinerary features activities such as fruit picking, visiting tea gardens in Mount Liushishi, making mud volcano tofu, and exploring Luoshan Waterfall.
