Taiwanese local governments recognized for digital governance achievements

Local governments in Taiwan have received recognition for advancements in digital governance and administrative transparency.

The Lienchiang County Government earned two top honors from the Ministry of the Interior for its work regarding environmentally sensitive areas. The county received the ‘Excellence Award’ in both map data updates and inquiry response efficiency, demonstrating improved digital service quality for its remote island residents.

In Tainan, the Tainan City Government Land Administration Bureau was awarded the ‘Excellence Award’ at the Jinglian Awards for its ‘Fu Cheng Nan Ji Quan’ platform. This smart land administration and administrative transparency integration service platform utilizes digital transformation to provide integrated data on land use, building information, and real estate transactions. The platform aims to prevent real estate fraud by providing accessible 3D building simulations and historical transaction data, having recorded over 1.65 million queries since its launch.
