Taiwanese music artists share stories of loss and resilience

The Taiwanese music scene is highlighting personal narratives of loss and resilience through upcoming performances and new releases. The ‘Diamond Stage Night’ concert, scheduled for September 26 and 27, will feature various artists including Tseng Hsin-mei, who shared her personal struggle of rising from poverty and her regret over not being able to travel with her late father before his passing.

In a separate development, indigenous artist Makav 真愛 has released a new album featuring the song ‘Let the light in,’ which was inspired by the loss of a family member and her own late father. The album launch was supported by producer Huang Shao-yong and artist ABAO. Makav 真愛 has also announced her first solo concert, ‘Really in Love,’ set to take place on January 2, 2027, in Nangang.
