Taiwanese organizations conduct outreach to disability support workshops

Various organizations in Taiwan are conducting outreach activities to support persons with disabilities and their vocational training workshops.

In Kaohsiung, the Taiwan Power Company (Taipower) South District Construction Office visited the Bo-Li-Ou Polio and Ai-Jia-Bei Sheltered Workshops. Led by Director Chen Zong-hua, the team inspected the working environments and provided practical gifts, such as stainless steel vacuum flasks and eco-friendly bags, to the workers. The initiative aims to support the self-reliance and social integration of individuals with disabilities through employment opportunities.

Additionally, the Kaohsiung City Social Affairs Bureau has partnered with the Lions Clubs International 300E-5 District to promote seasonal gift products made by disability groups. Representatives from the Lions Club visited the Xin-Lu-Yi-Jia Workshop to observe egg roll production and the Taiwan Rett Syndrome Care Association to see handmade soap production. These visits are designed to increase awareness of the products and the dedication of the families and workers involved.
